What it means
Grá is the Irish word for love — the noun, covering love of a person, a place or a thing. The síneadh fada on the a is essential; gra without it is not a word. In speech it usually appears inside a phrase: mo ghrá (my love, as an endearment, where the g lenites to gh after mo), grá mo chroí (love of my heart), i ngrá le (in love with, where the g eclipses to ng).
